And it’s time…

to cross something off the “Awesome things that I wish would happen” list On the 14th of March 2009, and I had the exciting pleasure of watching Amanda Palmer in concert IN TASMANIA!

It’s was absolutely fucking brilliant.

She is a brilliant show woman and I stood there for the length of the show in absolute awe of her.

After the show I got to meet her and it almost turned into a Wayne’s World moment of me going “I’m not worthy!”

She said during the concert, she would hopefully be back in December.

and now for your viewing pleasure, some photos

Another Amanda Palmer post

February 4, 2009 at 12:25 pm (music, Uncategorized) (, , , , )

Ok so I am a Amanda Palmer fan girl
but yet again, she’s been screwed over
Her new single “Oasis” is only being played on certain media outlets in Britain due to the nature of the subject

Now I love the song.
It’s about a girl who has had horrid things happen to her but she doesn’t care because her favourite band sent her a photograph of them
Whilst it’s black humor, the song spoke to me.
Last year was a terrible year for me health wise but if there’s little things there that brighten your world that makes you feel so happy that you forget your problems for a moment, you feel better.

For me the song is more about hope than dillusion

But BBC 6 is playing the song so props to them

*Amanda Palmer play a concert in Tasmania
*the Re-release of John Lennon’s song “give peace a chance” with footage from different countries of people singing it, particularly Middle Eastern countries
*Vladamir Putin dancing like a robot
*Bob Brown becoming the Prime Minister of Australia
*the Japanese to stop whaling
*for people to stop wearing tights like they’re trousers
